Jordan Peterson

His biblical lectures are genuinely interesting and his critiques of academic institutions have points. But he's gotten sloppy with facts, plays victim constantly, and his followers are insufferable about it. Also his willingness to appear with anyone for the right fee is pretty transparent—not about ideas, about money.

I watched him for years but the grift is becoming obvious—the Self Authoring course is overpriced for what it delivers, his health claims are sketchy (carnivore diet stuff), and he's clearly just saying whatever gets engagement now. The man's been through real struggles but he uses them to sell seminars.

Peterson's self-help advice on discipline and taking responsibility actually helped me get my life together, and his content is well-researched. But he overstates his expertise constantly—he'll talk about neuroscience or evolutionary psychology like he's the definitive voice when he's not. Also his political commentary is way too much.
